The only thing that I find hard is the taste. I am not a fan at all. I take about 1 TBL full with a shake and that is all I can taste. I am 5’2″ at 186 pounds, is that enough or too much powder?

I struggled with the taste so much until I received the email from Maca with tips one of which said cinnamon helps. Adding cinnamon to my milk and maca mixture made a huge difference with the taste.
Also I started with 2teaspoons based on the recommendations for my weight. It gave me such a bad loose stool. Now I have cut back to barely 1teaspoon and my stomach handles it perfectly.
My main reason for taking Maca is in the hopes that it will give my libido a big boost and I may be able to experience orgasms. Quality, as always, was excellent. Securely packaged and arrived in a short time from the date of order. As to the product itself, the quality is readily apparent from the first sample and remains through to the last.
One item of note for this particular blend is the taste; it’s much “earthier” than either of the other two I’ve tried (red and black). The black has a similar flavor but is less strong in terms of the flavor. Not altogether bad, just takes some getting used to and isn’t all that pleasant to smell or taste. I mix mine with a protein shake each morning and that helps to mask the flavor somewhat.
Again, the product itself is excellent and works as it should for the claims made (more energy and increased libido, at least for me), just something to be aware of if you re taste or odor-sensitive to food items. As a lot of other reviewers have said, you might not notice how the maca affects you until you stop taking it. This ended up being painfully true for me.
I ordered a 1lb package of premium maca. I put a big spoonful in my daily smoothie. While I didn’t notice any difference in my energy or muscle recovery, it did certainly help my libido, and I noticed less painful periods. As I was running low, I figured I could survive without the maca in my smoothie and didn’t hurry to reorder. BIG. MISTAKE!
I work in a car dealership closed up behind a desk for an average of 9-11 hours a day. Usually, I have enough energy to power through the shift, but within a week of not using maca, I was extremely rundown by 4:00. Premium maca powder is great for energy source, however I would like to warn everyone. Its not as if your going to get an immediate buzz while taking Maca. It is slow releasing energy, meaning you have more energy through out your whole day rather then have an energy burst for an hour or two. I have also noticed its great source of protein which assist with muscle recovery.
Basically Maca premium powder is a Super food and has many benefits, you will notice the benefits when you STOP using maca powder. It is very hard to judge if there is any benefits while using it. Also I take my maca powder with 250ml water and one to two tea spoons of maca powder. The taste is very ordinary but you get use to it within a week or two. I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone that wants to have an improved lifestyle.

My experience with the company and product has been perfectly fine. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I loathe the taste. I wanted to give five stars because I think if you are going to buy maca powder this is where you should get it. I bought a 1kg bag and am three weeks in to it (premium mix). I wish I had bought a small bag to start because even mixing the powder into a smoothie makes me gag. It has a nice malty smell and taste (like some I had bought from the supermarket) but an acrid acidic smell and aftertaste follows. I am trying to avoid sugar so have not sweetened my smoothies with fruit which might help. I need to find a way to hide the taste as much as possible. As for its effects, I feel like I am a more calm stay at home mother since taking the powder and I have felt less tired.

I started my search on Maca powders and they all seemed to include additonal ingredients or something not so natural. I stumbled across the Maca Team used the link to suggest the best Maca for me and so far it’s been great. There has been an increase in my energy levels and libido so my assumption is the hormones are coming into balance. I am not a fan of the taste, but I am a fan if the results. By not growing the plant at altitudes above 10,000 feet allowing more unfiltered Ultraviolet A and B and C and even higher energy wavelengths in what little is known still in plant biology, as well as the angle latitude and to have the same soil conditions in Peru to stress or cause the plant to express genes that create the hundreds of photochemicals that when humans eat then express genetic pathways thru receptors I do not want a low quality Maca.

I just recently learned about Maca and am experimentally with usage. I feel very confident buying for the Maca Team. I drink tea and each morning when the tea gets low in my cup I add in some Maca. It’s a little thick or gritty but I drink it down. Some days the taste is a little off putting and some days not. Almost immediately I found Maca to give me more energy. I used to take naps all the time and I’ve only had 1 nap in the last month. I’m in perimenopause and experiencing lots of different symptoms including hot flashes. I have found that my symptoms have greatly reduced. Right now using about 1 teaspoon per day.

For me the product has helped a great deal with menapause. I had tried many things and to everything I have tried I had adverse reaction. With maca both with powder and pull form I have noticed not feeling as drained and have more energy. You have to give the product time. I experimented and stopped taking it for one day and noticed how I immediately felt drained. Bye the way I buy both powder and pill form for the convenience of when o travel or don’t want to make a shake. I hope this helps.

I recently had a fall down an escalator before I started taking the Premium Raw Maca powder. As I expected, I was in a lot of pain during the 1st week. But at age 66, I’m really impressed that I’m recovering quickly and almost have full mobility of my right shoulder, knee and ankle after 2 only 2 weeks.I weigh 180lbs so I mix 3tsps with almond milk. I have noticed a little constipation and my feminine body odor is changing, which I’m hoping will allievate itself by adding more water to my diet. Arrived quickly with the Maca in a strong resealable bag (although not the pretty metallic one as in the picture but perhaps more sustainable.) Taste and smell were nutty as many said and no stomach issues even with the Premium powder. For my weight at 123 lbs I take a full teaspoon and the 16oz plus bag seems to be lasting a long while as well.
Initially, after taking Maca mixed with yogurt I found a real “speediness” for about a half hour in my first week but after that just an increased sense of energy for the day. It’s not dramatic but it is a noticeable increase in energy and general vitality. I’ll certainly continue with this product as it is clearly full of dynamic healthy components and probably more than covers what many store vitamins contain.
One small issue was (is ) that I did sign in and write a question of the team re: estrogen but never got a reply. Otherwise all seems really together. And even ethical ! Thanks Maca team!

Quality, as always, was excellent. Securely packaged and arrived in a short time from the date of order. As to the product itself, the quality is readily apparent from the first sample and remains through to the last.
One item of note for this particular blend is the taste; it’s much “earthier” than either of the other two I’ve tried (red and black). The black has a similar flavor but is less strong in terms of the flavor. Not altogether bad, just takes some getting used to and isn’t all that pleasant to smell or taste. I mix mine with a protein shake each morning and that helps to mask the flavor somewhat.
Again, the product itself is excellent and works as it should for the claims made (more energy and increased libido, at least for me), just something to be aware of if you re taste or odor-sensitive to food items. As a lot of other reviewers have said, you might not notice how the maca affects you until you stop taking it. This ended up being painfully true for me.
I ordered a 1lb package of premium maca. I put a big spoonful in my daily smoothie. While I didn’t notice any difference in my energy or muscle recovery, it did certainly help my libido, and I noticed less painful periods. As I was running low, I figured I could survive without the maca in my smoothie and didn’t hurry to reorder. BIG. MISTAKE!
I work in a car dealership closed up behind a desk for an average of 9-11 hours a day. Usually, I have enough energy to power through the shift, but within a week of not using maca, I was extremely rundown by 4:00. Then, I had my period which was more painful and something finally clicked. I reordered my maca (a 1kg package this time), and I don’t think I will ever let myself run out again. My energy is back to normal and I am so thankful for this amazing root!!

Hi my name is Gem im from Australia, I am a 33 year male taking premium maca powder. I work out at the gym 6 days a week. Premium maca powder is great for energy source, however I would like to warn everyone. Its not as if your going to get an immediate buzz while taking Maca. It is slow releasing energy, meaning you have more energy through out your whole day rather then have an energy burst for an hour or two. I have also noticed its great source of protein which assist with muscle recovery.
Basically Maca premium powder is a Super food and has many benefits, you will notice the benefits when you STOP using maca powder. It is very hard to judge if there is any benefits while using it. Also I take my maca powder with 250ml water and one to two tea spoons of maca powder. The taste is very ordinary but you get use to it within a week or two. I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone that wants to have an improved lifestyle.

In all honesty, I haven’t noticed that much yet :-( .. I am a 58 year old female, 4′ 11″ 125 lbs. I mix about 1- 1/2 – 2 tsp in my fresh fruit/veg/protein Ninja drink daily. I bought a big order of Premium bc I want to see results. I am in menopause (which affects everything), and I take WP Thyroid supplement bc I am hypothyroid. I was really disappointed in the taste. When we stayed at a hotel, we mixed it with water, with 3 different juices, since I couldn’t make a smoothie. It tasted like my puke when I am sick. I don’t know if this is normal or not????? Any feedback you can give, would be awesome.

I mix the maca with almond vanilla no sweetner milk, sometimes with blueberries and coconut oil; it gives me alot of energy especially in the morning and i’m 47. My wife likes it with chocolate milk and it gives her energy and gets her in the mood. It really tastes good with the chocolate milk if you don’t mind the sugar.

I’m 66 years old and have been taking Premium Maca for several years. It definitely provides me with energy for working full time. I take 1 tsp in the morning with juice and another 1tsp at lunchtime. I really didn’t know what to expect when I added this to one of my smoothies for the first time. We are retired and use maca for the nutritional boost. I am a Master Gardener and have huge flower beds to maintain. I live to be outside during the summer–live in Mid-west. The actual product, Premium Maca Powder 1 kg, has really helped me. I have increased energy and a much better outlook on life. I am a 51 year old male and had noticed that I had gotten lazy. I had even stopped doing things I used to really enjoy doing. After taking this product for about a month I have regained the desire to do my favorite things again. I did not notice at first but then I found myself doing things that I used to do years ago.
I have also noticed increased mental clarity. The brain cloud is starting to dissipate.
The taste takes some getting used to. I found that I handle it best by just mixing it with water and drinking it in one long drink first thing in the morning. I have gotten used to it now.

I bought this one so my husband & I could both take it. He is 20 years older than I am so he mostly takes it for stamina in the bedroom. It does work!! I’m giving this product 4 stars because it tastes just nasty to me. I’m sure it’s an extremely quality product, as is their red maca, but the red maca tastes wonderful and the premium is just not so palatable. Summary is that I will buy the red maca next time for sure!

My experience with the company and product has been perfectly fine. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I loathe the taste. I wanted to give five stars because I think if you are going to buy maca powder this is where you should get it. I bought a 1kg bag and am three weeks in to it (premium mix). I wish I had bought a small bag to start because even mixing the powder into a smoothie makes me gag. It has a nice malty smell and taste (like some I had bought from the supermarket) but an acrid acidic smell and aftertaste follows. I am trying to avoid sugar so have not sweetened my smoothies with fruit which might help. I need to find a way to hide the taste as much as possible. As for its effects, I feel like I am a more calm stay at home mother since taking the powder and I have felt less tired.
